Altered Moods Recordings, the label that united house music lovers the world
over with its debut LP “Love, Lost and Found,” presents its second vinyl release.
Written and produced by 2loop (real name Igor Matsagorov) out of the
Stavropol region of Russia, and executive-produced by Malcolm Moore, AMR’s
chief director, “Deep Blue” is four tracks of laid back, deep-house bliss.
2loop has had several releases published on various net-labels such as rest
(Germany) and Digilog (Greece), parlaying his respect of the roots of deep
house in each EP. This is his first vinyl release, and AMR is delighted to have
him be a part of the Collective.
When you play the intro track “Blue Emotion,” you’ll quickly learn why. 2loop’s
blend of syncopation, underpinned by thick, dreamy, pad-infused basslines and
laced with gentle, calming leads, is certain to make you sway, wherever you are.
The second piece, “Deeper Shade of Blue,” exemplifies his mastery of the
genre, features the warm, soothing vocals of Michelle Jacques (of “Chelle! &
Friends” - presented by Jenpet Records), and is accentuated with keys by
Malcolm Moore. Whether you are on a packed dancefloor, in your office chair,
or at home watching the day go by, 2loop easily creates the perfect mood.
The flip side features even more goodness: 2loop gives us a “Reminder” of who
he is with a deep trek into your innermost feelings, propelled by a dubby, driving
bassline that gets the message home with maximum effect. Then, he invites
you into his home for one last dance with “Whisky and Soda,” a warm, gritty,
drum-laced seranade that tugs at your heartstrings.
